GazeThru Privacy Statement
Your trust is our most important
asset. You should be aware that this policy applies only to GazeThru.com and not
to any other websites that we link to. GazeThru.com is serious about protecting
your privacy. If we ask for information about you, we take all possible steps to
keep it safe.
We may use this information to tell
you of changes on GazeThru.com (and any changes to this policy will be posted in
this section). We may also use the information to communicate with you and to let
you know about products and services in which you may be interested, from GazeThru.com
and reputable, trustworthy third parties. This will only be done with your consent.
With your consent, we may supply personal information to third parties. We may also
provide them with overall qualitative & quantitative data about our users and
visitors to GazeThru.com. The latter will not include information that could personally
identify you.
GazeThru.com reserves the right to
access and to disclose personal information to comply with applicable international
laws and lawful government requests, to operate our systems properly or to protect
either ourselves or our users.
What Information we Need
To provide the services you want,
we need to know information about you, your skills and job preferences.
If you upload material we ask for
personal information, such as your name, address and e-mail address. This is for
the purpose of receiving contact from GazeThru.com about your membership and outside
interest.
If you pay for services from us,
we will ask you for your Company name if applicable, address, main contact details,
contact details for invoicing and information about who will use the services. Accepted
payment on GazeThru.com services are debit/credit card details only.
If you use GazeThru.com 'email a
friend' service, we ask for your friend's email address. We then send an automatic,
one-time email inviting your friend to visit us. Details of this transaction are
stored only to send that one-time email or to track complaints of mischievous use.
Your friend can contact our GazeThru team to ask that it be deleted.
We may use some of the information
collected about you to personalise your visits to our website so that the website
appeals to your interests and offers opportunities, goods or services to you that
you may want. We can also use the information to help us develop the design and
style of GazeThru.com to improve our service to you.
Occasionally, we will use your personal
information to inform you about the latest changes to GazeThru.com, products or
services that you might find interesting.
We may use your IP address to help diagnose
problems with our server, and to administer GazeThru.com.
GazeThru.com uses persistent cookies
to keep track of your navigation, searches and actions every time you visit. These
cookies expire after about two years, and do not allow anyone to access your confidential
information. If you are using a shared computer, please ensure that you log out
of GazeThru.com (My Account) or close down the browser before leaving the computer
for the next user. For more information on what a cookie is and what it is used
for see the section More About Cookies.
Your Portfolio
We regard your portfolio as a very
personal document and we wish you to have control over who can view it and whether
or not you wish to have your details (name, telephone number, email address) visible
to users.
GazeThru.com allows your portfolio
to be searchable, of which is a significant aid to quickly finding new opportunities
relating to business, academic, social and recreational activity. We provide you
a choice through our membership program in how you do this. The choice automatically
sets the level of confidentiality and serious users permitted, Premium membership
being the highest.
The level of control is also your
responsibility. We encourage users to make use of the standard email system that
can post messages to other users on GazeThru.com, instead of posting contact details
directly on material you upload. So be wise, make your uploaded materials searchable,
but do not expose your contact details unless your sure that the person contacting
you is genuine. See section on Gauging users that are genuine.
Gauging users that are genuine
A genuine user takes pride in their
self-development/reputaion by investing in their ability of innovation/creativity.
First identify whether the user is free or has upgraded beyond a free member.
GazeThru.com is not necessarily stating
that free members do not care about their self-development/reputation, but the advice
stated above should be used as a tool for gauging levels of seriousness.
Email-a-Friend
(coming soon...)
Our Email-a-Friend service makes
it easy for our users to recommend portfolios, career/jobs to friends or relatives.
Simply complete the Email-a-Friend form and we will send an email to your specified
recipient(s) containing a link to the selected uploaded material. We will not use
your recipient's details for any other purpose than the fulfilment of this service.
Filtering Forms
Email filtering forms are provided
for users to make contact with other users and should be used as a form of
protection and screening. The information
submitted by users through the form can
be used to assess
suitability for an opportunity or enquiry about a member's uploaded material
to which it applies. We do not process any of the data in the completed forms,
which is transmitted to users and we are not responsible for the content
of a user. We may, however, temporarily store
your completed forms as a form of backup and security.
