GAZETHRU THIS WINDOW TO CREATIVITY & INNOVATION
GAZETHRU THIS WINDOW TO CREATIVITY & INNOVATION
GazeThru is the new web-construct designed to capture, showcase and promote
world-wide creativity and innovation in all industry areas,
broadly speaking technology, art & design, media for whenever users want it.
The build is fully interactive with the use of chat, forum, uploading portfolios,
careers/jobs and much more. The structure goes on to promote academic and industrial
inspiring projects such as unseen final year studies, coursework, prototypes and research material
as well as industrial portfolios. Spotted on the site to attract all audiences are
buyers, sellers, recruiters, investors and other forms of users.
The website is directed at advancing understanding
of creative innovation and organisational phenomena using web technology as its
medium.
GazeThru.com’s logical development has focused on organisational
behaviour, sociology, social and industrial psychology. GazeThru.com has embraced
the essence of online communities as a model to reflect the way in which it should
benefit creative/innovative individuals who are less fortunate to have the essential
backing to run and promote their business well and internationally. GazeThru.com
through its online community promotes collaborate/exchange of ideas for users to
keep up to date with current news and activities that reflect creativity/innovation.
GazeThru.com acknowledges that the purpose of online
communities is to make a difference to negative social pressures and circumstances
experienced by certain groups of people (e.g. cultural difference, ethnicity and
the poor/disadvantaged) that share a common interest of creativity/innovation. GazeThru.com
therefore aims to provide first class online facilities to all creative
and innovative people and businesses by eliminating barriers that exist within creativity
through GazeThru.com’s facilities.
Margaret, one of the two developers behind GazeThru.com
mentions that “The issue here is not that we do not have online communities, but
the need to have relevant communities that mirror the views, concepts, needs or
inspirations of people that have this interest”. Wole continues on by stating that,
“Relevance is a big subject that is usually scooped under the carpet. I think
there are many creative online businesses that resemble GazeThru.com but struggle
to make their business a success in both concept and profitability".
Other types of web-sources are known to many as a site that doesn’t
care what viewers watch, just as long as viewers stay tuned to what is available or a site to match make with friends, colleges or family socially.
On the other hand, GazeThru offers its audiences enormous choice when it comes to
membership, personal and project requirements and the mission is more delineated.
GazeThru proves that this website stimulates social networking towards academic
and industry needs that are positive in order for its users to achieve effective
productivity, especially for those building a career, business or their skills.
Internet optimists predict that online systems that stimulate the growth of making
money through academic influence are the next big thing. For many students using
GazeThru, promoting their skill sets for business is now more accessible prior to
completing their studies, and in effect reducing the worry of unemployment prospects
when students finish their studies. Samples of members work are seen by many types
of users and the portfolios viewed by buyers, investors or recruiters are what they
can expect. Sourcing for talent could never have been easier.
The builders of GazeThru, Margaret and Wole, talks for the very first time in 5
years since there interest in creativity which evolved from planning the Creative
Careers Fair in 2002, about the whole concept and web-development as an initiative
that required extensive logical thinking, and was based on the needs
of people in general. “After entertainment what is the next best thing for every
person on this planet, survival”. “We are pushing
social networking towards the path of generating and exchanging business”. “GazeThru
makes it the point for communicating with like minded people on such basis and feel
comfortable doing so”. “Metaphorically speaking there are people who love going
to bars to hang-out, have a drink, socialise and listen to music whilst doing so,
well think of GazeThru as that bar that attracts business seekers instead”.
The Fair was the great eye opener into what was missing from innovation and not
just creativity. We spoke to many people about what they needed from creativity,
and we were able to view loads of portfolios of peoples work. From this we realised
that it was a field that affected every kind of subject that could be studied to
advance our way of thinking to living. Some people may find peeling an orange a nightmare
but imagine being able to show an invention that can make this job easier and quicker,
is in its own right creative and innovative. The fair projected its positive and
negative scores but the main positive from this is the essence of having a library
that captures a wide spectrum of work projects, not just for building knowledge,
ideas of creativity/innovation but to sell these important creation to others that
will find them beneficial.
GazeThru showcases work from professionals and the recreational, from international
countries such as
China,
Australia
Australia,
United
States
and various African and European
countries of which have inherited various kinds of creativity. Creativity
and innovation will be boring without the wider mix of people, style, culture and
living to state a few.
Margaret emphasis that it is rare for creativity and innovation to have boundaries,
therefore creativity needs to be encouraged academically where it is usually original and ripe for industry where it is enhanced even if it is not main-stream creativity,
e.g. the sciences, architecture, construction or even engineering.
GazeThru is a portal that promotes creativity and most importantly communication
and the concepts of creativity that each and everyone can learn from, without the
restriction to be entertained. I’m sure there are much
more things to look up to and the positive changes that it will bring to many people
life’s that is still yet to come.
